Position Description: The individual is responsible for assisting the US Manager of Operational Efficiency, and Operations Directors, in implementing NLMK’s NPS (Novolipetsk Production System) system aimed at improving Key Performance Indicators (KPI) throughout the U.S. facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to O.E. Level I and II engineers and operating personnel in the successful implementation of the NPS system and tools.
  • Drive culture change to instil focus on fact-based management practices via the use of Lean Six Sigma and other problem solving methodologies.
  • Is a division wide resource in statistical data analysis.
  • Facilitates and leads assigned KPI improvement projects using appropriate methods and tools. Is responsible for team building, problem solving and overall project management.
  • Helps develop and train both hourly and salaried individuals on continuous improvement tools that support or enhance the NPS system.
  • Assists in the compilation of data to support the NPS system during Management Review.

Perform other related work, as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Quality related field; combined with three to five plus years of Continuous Improvement experience. Metals manufacturing preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification required. Black Belt preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge and utilization of statistical analysis tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills are required.

Proficient with the use of all Microsoft applications. Knowledge of Oracle or Tableau experience a plus. Ability to travel as required.

Position Description Position Summary: This position is responsible for coordinating the Quality Assurance audits, monitoring functions within the plant and assists the Quality Assurance Managers in the management of the quality management system in order to assure compliance with Company and regulatory policies, procedures and specifications. Develop and lead quality assurance improvement programs for continuous improvement. Manage the development and analysis of statistical data and specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy. Responsibilities

  • Coach and mentor quality assurance services and team members to support the needs of the manufacturing facilities within the business unit.
  • Manage the Internal Auditing Program designed to ensure compliance with established standards to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products. Develop and provide a training program for new auditors.
  • Facilitate the Specification Management System including regular audits of the system.
  • Assist in preparation for regulatory audits utilizing required tools. Complete audits as assigned, including internal, supplier, and corporate system audits.
  • Develop, implement, and conduct training programs to increase Quality Assurance skills across ATEP.
  • Facilitate and implement quality assurance improvement programs consisting of cross functional teams.
  • Assist in the management of the Corrective/Preventative action system (QPulse).
  • Lead Risk Assessment activities related to equipment, suppliers, customer requirements and processes.
  • Recommend policies, procedures and standards to leverage best practices and standardized manufacturing processes across ATEP.
  • Oversee Calibration program and ensure compliance with established standards. Participate in Risk Assessment activities related to equipment, suppliers and customer requirements, as well as supporting the facilitation of the Quarterly Management Review.
  • Coordinate and Lead the Material Review Board meetings.
  • Assist in preparation for regulatory audits utilizing required tools.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Quality related field combined with five plus years of related Quality Assurance experience; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Metals manufacturing preferred.
  • Minimum two years of Quality Management System (QMS) experience with Lead Auditor credentials.
  • Strong background and knowledge of applicable quality requirements, systems and process orientation.
  • Knowledge and utilization of statistical analysis tools.
  • Must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills are essential for identifying and resolving problems and implementing corrective action.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills are required. The ability to effectively communicate to all audiences (i.e. peers, executives, customers, external auditors) is required.

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications and have a working knowledge of SAP. Q-Pulse experience a plus. Ability to travel as job requires.
